Volunteers and ESOL Participants needed for ESOL Conversation Program
Description:
The ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Conversation Program aims to assist international students and any UMD faculty/staff who wish to improve their English conversation skills through engaging in authentic conversations focused on cultures, university life etc once a week for 10 weeks. One-on-one and small group conversation settings are available. Volunteers learn to work with students from diverse cultures, develop/foster teaching skills, and receive materials, training and service hours/certificate/recommendation letter (upon request). Non-UMD members may also participate with a fee of $75 per semester (10 sessions for each conversation setting per semester; up to 20 sessions).
