"Brown Eyes, Black Ink" Opening Reception and Exhibition Today @ 5pm!

Description:
he Art Gallery proudly presents an exhibition of works that explore the softer and more whimsical side of illustration and fine art. The exhibition, entitled "Brown Eyes, Black Ink" features the latest works by emerging artist Kris Chau in a variety of media, including paintings, illustrations, installations, and drawings. Chau depicts wildlife, plants, and female figures with exaggerated lines, curves, and swirls in a style reminiscent of the lighthearted children's book illustrations of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The public opening reception for the exhibition will be held on Thursday, September 1, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The exhibition will remain open to the public through Saturday, October 8, 2011. The opening reception and exhibition are free to the public. The Art Gallery is located at 2202 Art-Sociology Building on the University of Maryland College Park campus.
