"What in the World?" photo caption contest
Description:
During the fall 2011 semester, the University Archives is sponsoring the third annual installment of its "What in the World?" photo caption contest, featuring some of the strangest images from its holdings. A new photo will be posted each Tuesday on the Archives' blog: http://www.lib.umd.edu/blogs/univarch_exhibits/. Contestants are asked to submit their cleverest caption for each image, and a prize will be awarded each week for the winning caption. The first image will be posted today, Sept. 6, and contest entries are due by midnight on Sept. 12. Please see the Archives' blog for full details and to submit your entries. Check out the most bizarre images from University of Maryland history that the University Archives staff could find!
