10 Years Later: A Discussion on Islam in America

September 11, 2011 marks the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. In recognition of this, the Muslim Students Association has invited Dr. Yasir Qadhi, popular Muslim American writer and intellectual, to host and facilitate a discussion on the status of Islam, Muslims, and interfaith progress in America 10 years after 9/11. The conversation will range from discussion of the 9/11 attacks to Muslim peacemakers to the proper understanding of Shariah law (and its relationship to US law). Dr. Qadhi received his doctorate in Islamic Studies from Yale University, has published many profound works, and teaches across the world. The topic he will be discussing with us is one that will define our generation as Americans. {Will appear in FYI on Sep 7, 2011
