Digital microfabrication processes are non-lithographic techniques capable of directly generating patterns and structures of functional materials for the rapid prototyping of electronic, optical and sensor devices... This talk will describe the unique advantages and capabilities of Laser Decal Transfer these techniques, discuss their applications and explore their role in the future of digital microfabrication. Bio: Dr. Alberto Piqué is Head of the Electronic and Optical Materials & Sensors Section in the Materials Science Division at the NRL...His group has pioneered the use of laser-based direct-write techniques for the rapid prototyping of electronic, sensor and micro-power generation devices. {Will appear in FYI on Sep 28, 2011
