Take Five: Regie Cabico
Description:
Regie Cabico, an award-winning poet and spoken word pioneer of Filipino-American descent, has been called "the Lady Gaga of spoken word poets."
He won the Nuyorican Poets Cafe Grand Slam in 1993 and took top prizes in the 1993, 1994 and 1997 National Poetry Slams.
He will perform his own unique brand of spoken word poetry and also lead the audience through the process of creating their own poems.
