UGST-CTE Workshop: Understanding Plural Societies and Cultural Competence

Description:
Understanding Plural Societies and Cultural Competence are components of the new general education Diversity requirement. Cultural Competence can serve as a practicum for understanding diversity issues by providing practical training for dealing with human differences and navigating the complexities of pluralistic societies. In this hands-on workshop, we will focus on the relationships and differences between these two GenEd components and brainstorm about ways to engage students in these areas.
