Cinema Concert - D.W. Griffith's Intolerance with live music from Boister!

Description:
This special, free event is funded by the Maryland State Arts Council (www.msac.org) and the Stamp Student Union. D.W. Griffith mounted this spectacle of "Love's Struggle Throughout the Ages." With massive sets and a cast of thousands, Intolerance was the biggest spectacle the world had ever seen and is still stunning. Boister has taken their silent film scores to the World Cafe, the Kennedy Center, the Smithsonian, and numerous east coast colleges. Their score for Intolerance quotes Bach, Led Zeppelin, traditional French madrigal, the Clash, Steppenwolf, and the Pogues and lives up to the grand scale of Griffith's epic. {Will appear in FYI on Nov 1, 2011
