OIT Brown Bag Today at noon: iPad Classroom: Mobile Teaching Strategies
Description:
iPad Classroom: Mobile Teaching Strategies
For those looking to find ways of incorporating mobile technologies into their teaching, this would be the event you do not want to miss!
Jason Farman (faculty, Department of American Studies) will be discussing his recent approaches and the successes and failures he's encountered. Focusing especially on the use of the iPad in the class (with applicability to laptops and mobile phones), Farman will discuss ways of creating backchannel discussions in the classroom, using the devices as clickers, and utilizing location-aware applications to dynamically engage the students with the space of the university campus.
All faculty and staff are welcome to join the discussion. This is a great opportunity for instructors to bring their ideas and questions to an open forum where we can discuss and learn from each other.
No registration is required.
Light refreshments will be provided.
