David C. Driskell Center exhibition opening
Description:
The David C. Driskell Center is pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition
"Succession: Prints by African American Artists from the Jean and Robert Steele Collection" on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 5-7pm. Music performed by Charles Rahmat Woods Trio; refreshments are served.
The exhibition features 62 works by forty-five artists, using traditional printmaking techniques. Included in the exhibition are prints by Romare Bearden, Jacob Lawrence, Elizabeth Catlett, David C. Driskell, Margo Humphrey, Emma Amos and James L. Wells, among others.
