Description:
DEPARTMENTS OF GEOGRAPHICAL SCIENCES AND SOCIOLOGY present a seminar: "Can Science Inform Climate Policy? A Social Science Perspective on Research Needs for the Science-Policy Interface" Dr. Richard H. Moss will provide an update on the assessment and research strategy being employed by the US Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) to produce a major Congressionally-mandated assessment of the potential consequences of climate change for the United States. Dr. Moss is Senior Staff Scientist with the PNNL Joint Global Change Research Institute at the University of Maryland and Visiting Senior Research Scientist at Maryland's Earth Systems Science Interdisciplinary Center. {Will appear in FYI on Feb 7, 2012
