Development Circle: Ghanaian Civil-Military Relations and Peacekeeping: Scared Straight?

Development Circle hosts Dr. Daniel Levine to speak about peacekeeping in Ghana. The country was ruled for most of the post-independence period by a series of military governments, but is now one of the best-consolidated democracies in Africa and the first to have a peaceful transition of power between two fully-civilian political parties. Development Circle is brought to you by the IDEV Council in the School of Public Policy. The aim is to bring School and University people together to seek better understanding of development challenges and ways to promote just and sustainable development in both poor and rich countries (and in the relation between the two). {Will appear in FYI on Feb 1, 2012
