Slavery and UMD
Description:
Dr. Ira Berlin is a historian, professor of history at the University of Maryland and author of several books with a particular focus on the history of slavery in the United States.
He will discuss the student project he led in the 2008-09 academic year to discover connections between slavery and the building of the University of Maryland.
