Latin American Democracy in 2012

LASC Presents Latin American Democracy 2012 with Professor Marcelo Cavarozzi. Tracing the history of Latin American political regimes, and identifying the main forces shaping their recent development, this talk will focus on why democracy in the region has failed to meet its full promise to enhance social equity and well-being. Marcelo Cavarozzi is one of the most prominent Latin American political scientists. He has been Professor of Public Policy and Dean of the School of Politics and Government, University of San Martín (UNSAM) and a member of the National Council of Scientific and Technological Research (CONICET), Argentina since 1985. {Will appear in FYI on Feb 17, 2012
