Screening of the Award-winning Documentary: Las Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo
Description:
Development Circle invites you to the screening of the award-winning documentary and virtual Q&A with the producers. Directed by Dr. C.A. Tuggle, Director of Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the film focuses on the question: Is the right to know who you are a basic human right?
Las Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo in Argentina is committed to finding their lost grandchildren, stolen, they believe, by the government of their country during Argentinas Dirty War. Their infant children ended up in homes of those sympathetic to the regime, who changed the babies identities.
