Michael W. Apple, John Bascom Professor of Curriculum and
Instruction and Educational Policy Studies at the University of
Wisconsin, Madison, Professor of Educational Policy Studies at the
University of London Institute of Education, and World Scholar and
Distinguished Professor of Educational Policy Studies at East China
Normal University in Shanghai, China.
Professor Apple has written extensively on the politics of educational
reform and on the relationship between culture and power. His
books include: The Routledge International Handbook of Critical
Education; Global Crises, Social Justice, and Education; and the
forthcoming, Can Education Change Society?
