Joan S. Hult Women's History Month Lecture by Dr. Wanda Jones, U.S. Health and Human Services
Description:
The School of Public Health, the Department of Kinesiology and the ADVANCE program will host Dr. Wanda Jones, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, for a womens history month lecture on March 2, 2012.
Dr. Jones was selected for her leadership in advancing women's health, eliminating health disparities and public health policy.
Joan S. Hult, for whom this lecture series is named, is a University of Maryland professor emerita known for her diligent behind-the-scenes work in Washington for the passage of Title IX.
