COPS SAY LEGALIZE DRUGS, with Special Guest Leigh Maddox of LEAP

Students for Sensible Drug Policy at UMD (UMD SSDP) will be hosting guest Leigh Maddox of Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP), an organization of current and former law enforcement and government officials who believe that the War on Drugs has failed and that legalization and regulation, rather than prohibition, are safer and smarter alternatives to the nation's drug problems. Ms. Maddox is a retired Police Captain and has worked as the Special Assistant State's Attorney for the state of Maryland. She is sure to bring a lot of knowledge, touching stories, and calls to action. Please join us for this important event, and invite your friends to come as's not every day that you hear a cop say we should legalize drugs!
