Symposium, Saturday, March 10 (10am-6pm) and Sunday, March 11 (10am-1pm): 1140 Plant Sciences Building, University of Maryland, College Park
This event was funded by a Smithsonian Institution-University of Maryland Seed Grant. It brings together diverse perspectives of the complex relationships between Africans and the land that frames their days. Scholars in art history, anthropology, American studies, ecology, geography, landscape architecture, and soil science have joined forces for this multidisciplinary event.
