Healthy People 2020 and the National Prevention Strategy to Improve the Health of All Americans

Please join the School of Public Health on Tuesday, April 3 for a special lecture by Rear Admiral Penelope Slade Sawyer, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health, Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She will speak about the objectives and implementation of Healthy People 2020, a science-based, 10-year national agenda for improving the health of all Americans. This lecture is part of the Public Health Grand Rounds lecture series, sponsored by the University of Maryland School of Public Health, a partner in the Mid-Atlantic Public Health Training Center, in collaboration with the Gamma Zeta chapter of Delta Omega, the honorary society in public health. This lecture is one of several events organized by the School of Public Health during National Public Health Week (April 2-8, 2012). {Will appear in FYI on Mar 30, 2012
