MICA Brown Bag Lunch "Moving Toward Social Justice Through Student Activism"

How can we utilize community partnerships to move students toward civic engagement and leadership development? How can taking action through activism foster social justice learning outcomes for students?
This Brown Bag will detail the collaborative efforts of the Multicultural Involvement and Community Advocacy (MICA) office with local community-based organizations in state-wide education reform during the passage of the Maryland Dream Act. This discussion highlights key processes, strategies, outcomes, and lessons learned from the partnership.
