The Sisterhood of Unity and Love (SOUL) Cypher

The SOUL CYPHER is an open forum that gives students an opportunity to critically examine controversial issues within society. The program will use media and the arts in conjunction with student and community leaders to promote student activism. Many argue that students have become less critically involved in addressing social ills. We would like to discuss the drives students to become active and what needs to be done to improve social conditions. Students will be given opportunities to share their experiences, offer solutions and discuss their role in making change. Community leaders will give information on how to be community organizers and campaign about certain issues. Featuring the 3x Apollo winner Messiah! April 22, 2012, 3PM-5PM in the Hoff Theater.
