Seminar: Ecology and Natural Resources Management in Brazil

Speaker: Dr. Lowell Adams Topic: Ecology and Natural Resources Management in Brazil Dr. Adams is a retired advisor to the Wildlife Ecology and Management program on campus. His work as professor of UMD's Wildlife Ecology and Management. He is also former president of the Maryland-Delaware Chapter of The Wildlife Society and continues to as a great leader in the field through his work with other professional organizations. Dr. Adams holds an active role in the Universitys Student Exchange Program between the states of Maryland and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This project by Partners of the Americas Program involves 10-12 students traveling between the countries in alternate years. UMD Students and faculty members travel to Brazil for about two weeks to gain field experience in ecology and natural resources management. Every other year, students and faculty from Rio de Janeiro have the opportunity to travel to the University of Maryland for similar experience.
