Lecture: "Asia for the Asians: China in the Lives of Five Meiji Japanese"
Description:
Dr. Paula Harrell, who is a specialist in modern Chinese history and Sino-Japanese relations, will be giving this lecture. Harrell has taught at Dickinson College, the University of Maryland, and Georgetown University. The event is co-sponsored by Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS), Confucius Institute (CIM), and the Miller Center for Historical Studies, all at the UMD.
