Farmers Market Fall Kick-Off!

The Farmers Market at Maryland is welcoming all Terps back to campus with a fall kick-off this Wednesday, Sept 5 from 11am-3pm in front of Cole Fieldhouse. ter.ps/fallfarmers
Come enjoy live music by Kristin Rebecca, a pop harpist playing acoustic Celtic music (www.kristinrebecca.com), a cooking demo from Dining Services, a social media photo contest, and of course tons of fresh, local food! In an effort to give back to our community, we are also collecting the following for local high school students in need: paper, binders, pens, pencils, notebooks, and backpacks (non-rolling).
Dietetic student volunteers from the University Health Center will be on hand to answer your nutrition-related questions and offer healthy suggestions for preparing in-season produce. Folks from Green Dining (http://dining.umd.edu/greendining) will also be at the market with information on eating sustainably on campus.
