Please join us Wednesday October 3, 2012 at 7 PM at the Hoff Theater in the Stamp Student Union for Black in America: Issues the Corporate Media Ignore. This event will feature an honest discussion regarding a range of issues that affect Black America. Many of these issues are either unreported or under-reported throughout the corporate media airwaves. This important event will feature an esteemed panel of scholars & activists such as UMD's own Dr. Joseph Richardson and UMD student, Modesta Agbemaple. Other featured panelists include: Ben Woods from Howard University's Students Against Mass Incarceration and Ayesha Fleary of the All African People's Development and Empowerment Project. There will be ample opportunities for audience members to voice their thoughts, insights and solution oriented ideas. This event is Free to the Public.
