SCHOOL OF MUSIC: Alexis Descharmes cello masterclass
Description:
Cellist Alexis Descharmes will lead a cello masterclass with students from the UMD School of Music cello studio in advance of his performance this evening at 8PM.
This is an informal event that is open to the public.
Alexis Descharmes joined the Orchestra of the Paris National Opera in 2006. Since 2004, he collaborates regularly with the French Embassy in Washington, DC for the Contemporary Music Series of La Maison Français. Descharmes became a member of the NGA New Music Ensemble in 2010.
