SCHOOL OF MUSIC: Alexis Descharmes, cello
Description:
Cellist Alexis Descharmes performs a recital of contemporary music, including works by Elliott Carter, John Cage, Heinz Hollinger and Pierre Boulez.
Descharmes joined the Orchestra of the Paris National Opera in 2006. Since 2004, he collaborates regularly with the French Embassy in Washington, DC for the Contemporary Music Series of La Maison Français. Descharmes became a member of the NGA New Music Ensemble in 2010.
