"Flipped" Classes: What are they and how do I "flip" my class?
Description:
Ever heard of flipped classes and wondered what they are? Just curious about what it might mean for you class? Does the idea of engaging your students with course work rather than lecturing during class excite you? If so, come and learn about a way of structuring your course so that homework and in-class work are turned upside down! You will hear from faculty who have successfully flipped their course, and work on ways of flipping your own course. Presenters are Cindy Clement, Department of Economics, Marcio Alves De Oliveira, Department of Kinesiology, and Meina Liu, Department of Communications.
