Writers Here & Now Presents Danielle Evans and Mary Ruefle

Description:
Danielle Evans is the author of the short-story collection Before You Suffocate Your Own Fool Self, which was a co-winner of the 2011 PEN American Robert W. Bingham Prize for a first book, a National Book Foundation 5 under 35 selection for 2011, the winner of the 2011 Paterson Prize for Fiction, and the 2011 Hurston-Wright award for fiction, and an honorable mention for the 2011 PEN/Hemingway award. She teaches at American University in Washington DC. Mary Ruefle has published many books of poetry, including Selected Poems, A Little White Shadow, an art book of erasures, a variation on found poetry, The Adamant, winner of the 1988 Iowa Poetry Prize. She is the recipient of many honors, including a Guggenheim fellowship, a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, and a Whiting Award. She teaches in the MFA program at Vermont College. {Will appear in FYI on Oct 15, 2012
