CISSM Forum | "Climate Change and Political Instability" | John D. Steinbruner

John D. Steinbruner is Professor of Public Policy at the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland and Director of the Center for International and Security Studies at Maryland (CISSM). His work has focused on issues of international security and related problems of international policy. Steinbruner was Director of the Foreign Policy Studies Program at the Brookings Institution from 1978-1996. Steinbruner is currently Co-Chair of the Committee on International Security Studies of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Chairman of the Board of the Arms Control Association, board member of the Financial Services Volunteer Corps, and Chair of the NAS/NRC Panel on Assessing the impact of Climate Change on Social and Political Stress. In 2010 he chaired the Committee on Deterring Cyberattacks of the National Academy of Sciences and National Research Council. {Will appear in FYI on Nov 1, 2012
