The Maya and the End of Time

Description:
This is a photographic exhibit about the ancient Mayans that illustrates their conceptions about time and space. Thanks to the media, the Maya calendar has gained a lot of attention in the last few years and the 2012-end of times-phenomenon has created a growing misconception about the ancient Maya culture. The exhibit will explain academically backed information about Mayan mythology and its influence over their calendar and why 2012 is so important. The exhibit will be up at the USG library from November 12, 2012 to February 1st, 2013. {Will appear in FYI on Nov 12, 2012
