Free Workshop: Entrepreneurship and the Triple Bottom Line
Description:
Entrepreneurship with social impact can be the future of a better business world- but how do you make money while doing good? What is the right business model for a specific objective? Where can you capture additional value in the pie? Join us for a lecture and workshop on triple-bottom-line entrepreneurship. Guillermo Olivos, Assistant Director of Programming and Social Entrepreneurship at the Center for Social Value Creation, will review the basics of social innovation and frameworks for business planning beyond profit from four perspectives: employees, supply chain, customers, and financing.
This is a prime opportunity for students interested in entering the No Limits Social Impact Pitch Competition or the University of Maryland Business Model Challenge to learn about ways in which practitioners institute 3BL approaches in their work.
