Free Workshop Today on Proper Internet Use And What To Do When Things Go Wrong
Description:
The Graduate Student Legal Aid Office invites graduate students and staff to attend today's workshop.
We are seeing a fast-growing increase in the number of students seeking assistance related to improper internet use. Some students seek our help because they are the victims of internet stalking, scams, or identity theft. Others seek our help because they have been accused of improper criminal or civil activity involving their internet use. To address this ever growing caseload, we have asked Amy Ginther, Coordinator of Project NEThics in the UMCP Divison of Information Technology Security and Policy Office to come speak to the graduate student population about these and other important issues.
