Philip Roths Plot Against the Chaos

Description:
Dr. Royal provides an overview of Philip Roths various narrating voices and how these personae have contributed to Jewish American identity. Derek Parker Royal is the founder and executive editor of Philip Roth Studies, as well as the founder of the Philip Roth Society. He is the co-author of Philip Roths American Pastoral (2011), and editor of Philip Roth: New Perspectives on an American Author (2005). His topics include Jewish narrative, comic studies, multi-ethnic literature, and film. He is currently working on a series of essays on Jewish comics and graphic novels and a reevaluation of Philip Roths narratology. {Will appear in FYI on Mar 12, 2013
