"DMA-POMDP: A Multi-Agent Framework for Decentralized Control and Its Application to Outbreak Response" Presented by: Dr. Julie Simmons Ivy (University of Michigan) Abstract: Simmons Ivy will present a multi-agent partially observable Markov decision process framework (DMA-POMDP) for decentralized con┬Čtrol of multiple agents under uncertainty. This framework will be applied to a public health setting where local and state health departments seek a timely response to a disease outbreak. Bio: Dr. Julie Simmons Ivy is an associate professor at North Carolina State University. She received her bachelors and doctorate degrees from the University of Michigan. {Will appear in FYI on Apr 12, 2013
