Mechanical Engineering Special Seminar Friday! - Diagnostics, Prognostics, and Decision-making for Next-Generation Manufacturing Factories
Description:
"Diagnostics, Prognostics, and Decision-making for Next-Generation Manufacturing Factories"
Presented by: Dr. Seungchul Lee (University of Michigan)
Abstract:
After a brief overview of research activities in the NSF I/UCRC on Intelligent Maintenance Systems (IMS), Dr. Seungchul Lee will address how to detect the occurrence of previously unknown faults for online degrada¬tion assessment and adaptive fault detection in manufacturing processes us¬ing the Hidden Markov Model (HMM) with statistical process control (SPC).
Bio:
Dr. Seungchul Lee received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan. His research interests include advanced machine health monitoring and control in manufacturing sys¬tems.
