FREE Film Screening w/ Film Producer

Description:
Veteran Student Life and Disabled American Veterans (DAV)are sponsoring the Baltimore premiere of SERVICE: WHEN WOMEN COME MARCHING HOME on Tuesday, April 9th at the University of Maryland College Park. Women make up 15% of todays military, and that number is expected to double in the next 10 years. Through compelling portraits in SERVICE, we meet women who have fought the frontless wars of Iraq and Afghanistan. The women return home with devastating physical injuries as well as the invisible injuries of war, PTSD and its insidious catalyst, Military Sexual Trauma (MST). SERVICE is especially timely now that the Pentagon has lifted the ban on women in combat so that finally women will be fully and officially recognized for their contributions. This event is FREE and open to the public. Pick up admission tickets at the Stamp Ticket Office, located on the ground level of The Adele H. Stamp Student Union or call 301-314-8587. {Will appear in FYI on Mar 27, 2013
