Emotional Intelligence: Knowns and Unknowns

Description:
Internally-renowned Emotional Intelligence (EI) researcher Moshe Zeidner will present a talk on the current and future states of EI research. It is commonly claimed that EI measures are predictive of important educational, social, and occupational criteria, beyond the proportion of variance predicted by IQ or personality. However, the science of EI is in its early adolescence and many questions remain unanswered. Dr. Zeidner will discuss what we know about EI with respect to theory, assessment, and applications, and point out directions for future research. {Will appear in FYI on Apr 10, 2013
