Everyday Life/Everyday Language

The 2013 Chesapeake American Studies Association conference explores the multifaceted subject of the everyday as it relates to individuals and communities, our experiences as citizens and consumers, and familiar or once-familiar cultural landscapes. Presenters have been encouraged to tailor their presentations to a non-academic audience, both in content and language. Paper topics range from March Madness to Postcards, and from Healthy Eating to Hip Hop. Registration is free and includes a light lunch.
