Dr. Amy Landau, Associate Curator of Islamic Art and Manuscripts at the Walters Art Museum, will give a keynote lecture entitled Readings of Martyrdom and Images of Violence in Early Modern Iran as a part of the interdisciplinary conference on the theme of Transformative Literacies at UMD on Saturday, April 20th.
