ADVANCE Lecture: Deborah Estrin, Sensemaking for Mobile Health

Description:
UMD ADVANCE & the College of Information Studies present: Sensemaking for Mobile Health Deborah Estrin, Professor of Computer Science, CornellNYC Tech Mobile health leverages the ubiquity of mobile and cloud technologies to support patients and clinicians in monitoring and understanding symptoms, side effects and treatment outside the clinical setting. To realize this promise, we must develop new data capture, processing and modeling techniques to convert the digital traces emitted when we use phones and other digital services into behavioral biomarkers.
