FREE: Trombone Masterclass with Moises Paiewonsky

Description:
Students in the UMD trombone studio refine their repertoire with guidance from Moises Paiewonsky, Associate Professor of Music in Trombone at the University of Arizona (UA). Since his arrival at UA, Mr. Paiewonsky has been the recipient of several grants that supported visits and/or collaborations with legendary low brass artists such as Nitzan Haroz, Carol Jantsch, John Marcellus, Trombones de Costa Rica and Joseph Alessi. As a performer, Mr. Paiewonsky has been the winner or finalist of numerous competitions, including the 2005 and 2003 National Trombone Solo Competition, the 2004 International Trombone Quartet Competition and the 2002 International Trombone Solo Competition. He has also performed with orchestras such as the Detroit Symphony, Detroit Civic, Orlando Philharmonic, Gainesville Symphony, Plymouth Symphony, Bijou and Central Florida Symphony Orchestras. {Will appear in FYI on Oct 18, 2013
