Wellness Tip of the Week: Sleep On It

Wellness starts in the bedroom and not in the way you might be thinking! Getting enough restful sleep can dramatically improve the way your body and mind function throughout the day. A few simple changes can make getting a better nights sleep easier than you might think. Being active during the day and avoiding caffeinated drinks 6 hours before bed can help you fall asleep faster when you want to hit the hay. Swap your laptop screen and smart phone with a good old-fashioned book right before bed. The glowing light of electronics is known to effect human circadian rhythms and negatively impact your ability to get a good nights rest.
