MAPP Lecture: Anthony Bigio, Urban Advisor, former World Bank Urban Specialist | Wednesday, November 20th at 5:00 PM

Description:
Please join us as the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation presents a lecture by architect and planner Anthony G. Bigio, Urban Advisor and former World Bank Specialist, author, and professor. After a 20-year career at the World Bank, he is now a professor at the George Washington University graduate program on Sustainable Urban Planning, with specific responsibility for courses on urban resilience and low-carbon cities. He is a Lead Author for the IPCC, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, contributing to the chapter on urban planning and carbon emissions of its forthcoming Fifth Assessment Report, and a reviewer of the chapter on urban impacts of climate change. The lecture, entitled CITIES AND CLIMATE CHANGE, is part of the MAPP Fall Lecture Series 2013 and takes place on Wednesday, November 20th at 5:00pm in the Architecture Building Auditorium. {Will appear in FYI on Nov 18, 2013
