Wellness Tip of the Week: Refresh Your Morning Routine

Description:
As the days get shorter and colder, our bodies crave warmth and comfort. Getting ourselves up and ready for the day can be a struggle this time of year, but there's no need to hibernate for the winter. Strive for 7-9 hours of restful sleep each night, but avoid oversleeping. Getting too much sleep can result in adverse physiological and psychological side effects such as headaches, back pain and increased feelings of sadness or depression. Make waking up easier by adopting a new morning routine. Try setting your alarm clock across the room, doing a sequence of bed-friendly stretches or drinking a glass of water right before bed requiring an unavoidable walk to the bathroom first thing in the morning.
