Take a tour of the 'Healthy Home' demonstration in a UMD apartment. Check out interactive displays, local resources and research, and give-a-ways. Learn about home environmental hazards, health effects, & how to reduce harm. Share your related efforts. Topics covered: asthma, mold/moisture, lead, drinking water, radon, carbon monoxide, asbestos, injuries, and hazardous household products. This event is for anyone interested in a healthier home: renters, homeowners, researchers, educators, & those working with children, elderly people, or in a related field. Open to everyone. Free parking Jan 22 & 23 in nearby designated lots. When: Tours are 15-30 minutes on Wednesday Jan 22 & Thursday Jan 23, 2014 at 11 am-1pm & 4-6 pm. Please register by Tuesday, January 21, 2014.
