AASD: Annual Black History Event

Description:
On Thursday, February 20th, 2014 the African American Studies Department will host a talk and panel discussion Advancing Health Through a Racial Lens. Featured speaker: Professor Dorothy Roberts (University of Pennsylvania) The New Biopolitics of Race, Health & Justice. Professor Roberts will join a panel discussion featuring three distinguished University of Maryland professors. Join us in the Benjamin Banneker Room, STAMP from 12:30PM to 3:00PM. This program is co-sponsored by: MLAW- Law and Society Minor and Justice and Legal Thought Program, ADVANCE Program for Inclusive Excellence, Office of Diversity and Inclusion and Consortium on Race, Gender and Ethnicity. {Will appear in FYI on Feb 3, 2014
