Wellness Tip of the Week: Don't Skip Breakfast

Description:
About 20% of us habitually skip breakfast, but eating breakfast is very important for our bodies to function at their best. Breakfast gives your body the energy it needs after fasting for several hours while you slept. Your brain needs glucose as its primary energy source, so if you dont eat anything you are putting yourself at a mental disadvantage. People who eat breakfast are able to concentrate better, work more efficiently, and tend to have better moods compared to those who dont. Eating breakfast also helps regulate your hunger throughout the day. Often when we are tired or overly hungry, we are more likely to make poor food choices and consume more calories than our bodies need.
