Worksop: Including Climate Change Topics in Your Course: Portraits of Innovative Teaching Practice at UMD

Description:
The recent extreme weather events in MD, DE, and DC illustrate the complex impacts of climate change. This workshop is an opportunity to discuss and share ways that topics related to climate change can be incorporated in different courses for science and non-science majors, including those who may become teachers of science. A panel of UMD faculty members will present their experiences incorporating climate change topics in their courses followed by small group discussions. This workshop is part of the Maryland and Delaware Climate Change Education, Assessment and Research (MADE-CLEAR) program.
